The Trial of the Century

The Legal Team

"The Dream Team"

In order to get away with a large crime such as double murder O.J. needed the best of the best to represent him. O.J. started by calling his good friend, Robert Kardashian, who was a lawyer but never had any experience in major courts. With Robert on his side O.J. and Robert considered adding more experience to the team, they then hired Robert Shapiro who represented major athletes like Darryl Strawberry and Jose Canseco. With Robert Shapiro now at the helm of the case he brings along F. Lee Bailey on more of a "supporting role". With three lawyers the average man would be more than alright, but this was "Trial of the Century". The team was now without O.J. as he was in custody from the bronco chase. Needing more of the best of the best the team decided to bring in three DNA experts in Alan Dershowitz, Barry Scheck, and Peter Neufeld. The team now had the experts needed to find the loopholes in the evidence that would free O.J.. Now with six lawyers on the "Dream Team" the final touches were made, the team made one last decision to bring in the best defender in the LA area, Johnnie Cochran.

The Leadership Role

The leadership role with the dream team was a constant battle between Johnnie Cochran and Robert Shapiro. Robert thinking because he had already been in a situation with major celebrities that he should be in the role as lead prosecutor. But Johnnie on the other hand thought he was the "best of the best" and suggested he should be in the lead prosecutor role. After months of arguing the team later decided to put Johnnie in the lead role, which led to O.J.'s acquittal.
