The O.J. Simpson Trial

The O.J. Simpson Trial caused a major shift of major African American men getting away with crimes barrier in social history because, O.J. got away with murder with no punishment, having obvious evidence against him, because of his position with the public and fame of the area around him.

O.J. Simpson, a Million Dollar Man 

O.J. Simpson was a social giant, being a NFL legend, appearing in the Naked Gun series, and being a pitchman for the rental car company Hertz. On the night of June 12, 1994 his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman were murdered, and O.J. became the prime suspect. The next four days Simpson continues to prove he is not guilty he gains more depressed each day leading to the bronco chase. On the morning of June 15, 1994 Simpson was going to turn himself into the authorities as he and his friend Al Cowlings get into a white Ford Bronco as O.J. was going to attempt suicide at Nicole's grave until it escalated into a full on police chase and begin a slow police chase down the freeway, with 95 million people watching as they interrupt the 1994 NBA Finals. Robert Kardashian and Robert Shapiro later went on to hold a press conference where Kardahian read what appeared to be a suicide note writen by O.J. where he was thanking everybody that was in his life. News channels even started playing eulogies thinking he had already died. O.J. went into police custody later that night.
